Emergency Planning

Emergency management may be continuously improved upon by modelling a strategy on four elements, namely:

1. Prevention Activities: Designed to prevent emergencies from occurring or decrease the likelihood of emergencies occurring.

2. Preparedness: Planning and preparing the organisation (and external agencies) for emergencies.

3. Response: Remedial activities following the occurrence of an emergency.

4. Recovery: All activities required to return the organisation (and surrounding communities) to normal conditions after an emergency.

ETS has assisted many establishments with their Emergency Planning by ensuring that documented Emergency Plans contain the necessary information required to return the establishment to normal business operations after any given incident.
